These are designed to protect workers from accidents caused by air hose whip, a potentially dangerous situation that occurs when air hose snap while under pressure loads.
When air hose ruptures, the flow check valve senses an increase in air flow and automatically reduces the flow to safe level. The check valve has an exhaust bleed rate of 9 SCFM to 100 PSI
